18 months

Thats right! Slade is 18 months today! My big boy! He is into so many things now its unbelievable! He climbs on the table, the furniture, steals things from the counters, climbs onto Kendlee's bed and wakes her up.. He is busy busy busy. In fact, I just saw a bottle of glue magically appear on the table. I didn't see a little head or a hand, just glue.. lol.

Slade is busy talking these days. Mostly just one or two words at a time and some are easy to identify, others aren't! He jabbers alot in Slader-ese. Talks to Kendlee in their own language, hollars things at Mommy or MUM as he usually calls me!

Kendlee has been busy too!!! She started preschool last week. And LOVES it!! She gets to play on the playground, do paintings, drawings, activities, show and tell, hear stories. She has a locker that she puts her backpack in and she puts her folder in her desk. She loves to bring home "homework" to show mommy and daddy.

Kendlee has been doing other things at home as well! Reading stories with Mommy (and K knows the words!) talking in french, playing outside in her yard, combining with Papa. Shes so busy too!!!

We started MOPS already! So much fun! We have our gymnastics open house this coming weekend and our season starts in 2 weeks! I got to order the car for the raffle yesterday! how much fun was that! I picked out the color and everything! I've never ordered a brand new car before, lol.

Long time no see..

It's been so long since I've updated here! Unfortunately my computer was down and the pictures connect through my computer, so I thought that instead of just updating without pictures I'd just not update at all. Lame I know. Ha. But I know that you all look forward to pictures more than actually hearing about whats been going on. I'll do a little of both this time though, to get you caught up.

June-
The end of June is mostly a blur. We pretty much hung out here, the farm, the lake once I believe and in Minot.

July-
We went to birthday parties, weddings, swimming lessons (lots and lots of lessons!!!!) the lake a few more times. Minot A LOT, the farm A LOT and spent very little time at home. On the hot days we spent the afternoons in the back yard or at the pool. We ate a lot of ice cream, baked a lot of cakes, learned some new tricks (swimming and new words!) But mostly we just had fun!

August-
So far in August we have been at the lake, another wedding, the pool once or twice, painted the gymnastics gym, been to Minot and the farm. Slade is starting to potty train. He shows clear signs of when he has to use the restroom for both occasions. I'll occasionally ask him if he has to go potty and he will say "yeahhh" then we will go up and he sits on the toilet and grunts.  Very cute and very funny! He gets mad when Kendlee won't get off the potty so he can get on. My big man! He says a lot more words and a few phrases with 2 or so words. Its amazing what he can comprehend!  Kendlee has spent many HOURS asking about FIRE SAFETY. She asked all sorts of questions about fire safety, fires, what to do, where to go, we watched videos about fires, watched songs about fires, looked for books about fire safety. How funny. It all started with replacing the fire alarm batteries!  She said to me yesterday "Mom, if you have a minute I'd like to talk to you about fire safety!" LOL!  --We also went to Brandon's work picnic, without Brandon, lol. Kendlee and Slade had a BLAST! They got to go in bouncy houses, play games and win prizes, they got to ride a little car ride that Slade LOVED, they ate food, had ice cream, got more prizes, tattoos, face painting, balloons, cotton candy. It was so much fun! Too Bad Brandon wasn't there!

Brandon went down to the Knoxville Nationals (Sprint car racing) this past weekend. Kendlee is counting down the days until he gets home. He will have been gone 6 and a partial days!  I spent half the week painting at the gymnastics gym. When the mats are all put away we will take pictures and I'll share with you all. The new colors are khaki and mocha in the front area. Light Blue, vivid green and pumpkin orange in the gym! It sure is looking clean and fresh in there! We installed a new ONE WAY window, (Thanks Gary!!!) and Ryan moved the door and did all the remodeling himself! (Thanks RYAN!) Between myself, Amanda, Christy, Sara and Ashley S. The ENTIRE interior of the gym was painted. (well, minus the bathrooms, front entry door and of course the insulation areas).

Now for the good stuff.....(MOM)

I don't know what my deal with the crooked picture taking was. I do like alot of the pictures though. Except they'll look funny if you print them and put them in frames. Oh well. :)

We had a fun day outside! The kids and I played on the swings, trampoline, sprinkler, ect. Had ice cream cones, watered the garden and the flowers, cleaned the dog kennel. Lots of fun!

It's a quarter after one...

I'm all alone and I need you now... (Kendlee has been singing this song nonstop for a week now.) Right now she is dancing and singing the song. Slade was dancing too. Super cute!!

What have we been up to? Birthday parties, busy trips to Minot, playdates with friends, gymnastics board meetings, meeting new babysitters (yay!) and so much more. Every sunshiny minute is spent outside (aside from naptime). The kids even ran through the sprinkler.. fully clothed but full of smiles!

Still no tooth for Slade. I can still see it and feel the bump but it hasn't broken through the skin yet. Stinker. He has been saying "Oww." Whenever he trips and falls. Just nonchalant, Oww. Like hes not even hurt or anything. Its funny.

Kendlee has had a few hilarious phrases lately.. "Doin the mamaw, cause I'm too slow.." LOL.  Not the mamaw WALK, just the MAMAW. Funny how she doesn't even go into depth on what the MAMAW is. :)  And then another "Oh no, I'm getting wrinkly..not old, just wrinkly.." LOL. And no, she wasn't in the tub. She was just playing on the floor.

Pestering me, or so K calls it, is something that the kids love to do when we are inside. I lay on the floor and they both run and jump on me. Kendlee basically has me put her up in the air on my legs (wish it was more of a workout than it is!) and Slade sits nearly on my head and bounces up and down. They also love to dog pile on a big pile of pillows.

Slade is still totally into tractors and cars and trucks. Vrrroooom vrooomm. Its too cute. Definately nature for little boys!

Kendlee counted her care bears with me. Picture coming soon, after I upload my camera. She has.. wait for it.. 94!! (possibly 95. We found one in the living room later that night but I dont know if it was in the picture or not. I haven't looked at the picture since to see if it was, but regardless, she has ALOTTA, as she told Daddy. "I have alotta care bears.")

I mentioned that we met two new sitters! One came to our house and the kids adored her!!! Shes going to be a senior in high school. Kendlee couldn't wait for her to come over to play! They had a great time outside and then played dress up inside after Slade went to bed. The other sitter is actually a drop in daycare, right around the corner from my house! The kids had a great time over there as well. Kendlee named the baby bunny that lives under their deck, Diffany. :) She didn't cry either time I left her, which is a relief for me. Slade fussed a bit at the daycare but the gal gave him some food and he was fine. Ha Ha.

Brandon has a softball game tonight. Kendlee said she is gonna go to the park at Daddy's "soccorball game" hehe. B and I both got the giggles and Kendlee got so embarrassed that she nearly cried. Daddy told her that its okay to say the wrong word, because Mom does it all the time. LOL thanks hon! He is right though. Cause Kendlee always calls me out on it.. "What did you almost say??" Just wait kid, when you're older and you only have half a brain left, you'll say the wrong word too. Or even forget things. Heck, you  might even find your kid's sippy cup full of milk, under the sink with the cleaning supplies.. with the baby locks on the doors, so you know your kid didnt put it there. Oh my. These are the days!
