Santa Day

Not so sure about Santa

Smiling for Mommy.

Parker and Santa

Kendlee and her Baking stuff

Good shot of his two teeth!

Slade's favorite game with Daddy.

Santa day was BUSY! Mass chaos. But the kids enjoyed it. Slade was a little cranky and K didn't like the noise much. But all in all they had a good time. Kendlee got a baking set and Slade got a John Deere combine toy. K also won a $25 savings certificate from somewhere in Minot. She did last year too!!

Cookies and Carseats.. The box adventures and more!

Ahh yes. In the background I hear "You play with that computer! Argh!" Kendlee is trying to keep Slade out of the box. The carseat box. SLADE'S Carseat Box. We must learn to share our $2 box children! Haha!

Kendlee helped Mommy make cookies this morning! Though I think some of the cookie dough dissappeared? Every time she would roll dough she would say "this one fell, better eat it. this one broke, better eat it.." Though I didn't see any dough fall or break? Hmm..

Slade got a new carseat. He really doesn't like being buckled into his baby seat (or any seat for that matter) but he was a proud big boy when I sat him up in his new seat! Look Mom! I'm a big boy!

Oh crap. Kendlee just got busted saying "damn-it" and the other night she got busted saying "shit". Oopsie! When she got busted saying shit Daddy asked her where she heard that! She told him "You say it to the tv when you play games!" Oops! Daddy got busted too!

9 months and more..

Kendlee and her "rings" like Saturn.

Kendlee kissing her favorite Baby Brother "Turtle."

The dreaded "Naughty step" complete with pouty face.

Slade's 9 month picture.

Slade 9 months, Kendlee 35 months.

Slade is ever growing. He has found his way to the dog water dish a few too many times now. He loves the dangling balls on the tree (but never goes over there unless I put him there!)  He loves anything that sings and makes noise. That includes Kendlee. She is a great entertainer! He drinks 6 oz every 3-5 hours. He eats pretty much whatever he CAN eat. He hasn't been sleeping all night, though I know he CAN. He just really wants to be with Mama THAT much! ;) ;) Uh huh, right, whatever gets me through the day, right? :) --I haven't weighed him yet and I know I can't hold him still long enough to get a length. He says Mama, Baba, Pup Pup.. but no Dada. He just laughs when we ask him to say Dada.

Slade Pulls up on anything and everything he can. Crawls all over the place. Drools on everything. Yup. He's ALL boy thats for sure! Girl toys are of no excitment to him. Hand him a dolly and he gives you a strange look. Hand him a toy truck and his face lights up. He loves when you drive the toy cars over his head. He also enjoys play food (who doesn't?) and pestering Jazzy.

Kendlee's imagination has not slowed down, thats for sure! Currently she is into the movie Monsters Inc. She likes to sing and read and play computer/ipod all day long. She also loves to play with her CAREBEARS and play food. But no dollies for her. No sir-ee! She would rather play with a care bear than a boring old dolly! Care Bears still do everything with us these days. I've even found them sleeping in the christmas tree branches! My oh my! Sometimes they even fall out of the sky! (We launch them over the banister of the stairs, much to daddy's dismay!)

Kendlee is experiencing some pain the last couple of days. The dr thinks she either has a bladder infection or kidney stones. I think its a kidney infection. It seems as though the medicine is helping some. Poor girl. But when she feels good shes her normal Kendlee self. Talks-a-lot bear. ;) :)

Russel.. well.. we're still trying to train him. He really is a pain in the butt. As fas as I know we are still keeping him. But he has to be in his kennel alot because hes such a trouble maker! The one good thing about him being here is that the kids get in trouble alot LESS! Ha! I'm too busy chasing the dog to see what the kids are in trouble for. Or maybe I'm just less irritable with them because what he does makes the kids look like Angels! :)

Its cold now and we try to stay home as much as we can. Its so hard to bundle up two kids and then stick them in carseats. We do manage to make it to gymnastics, the grocery store and MOPS. But other than that we've stuck pretty close to home. Of course our trips to Minot are still in play but that doesn't count. We have Mamaws and Papa's up there to keep the kids warm! And boy do those Mamaws and Papa's LIKE to keep the kids warm!

I'm being called.. Mama Mama Mama... So long, for now!

Some of the sweetest moments..

Some of the sweetest moments are the most simple ones.

This picture actually brings tears to my eyes. How sweet is the innocence of a baby!

There are many things I could say here.. but really in this case a picture is worth a thousand words.

Slade's ER trip...

Wednesday evening I put Slade to bed. He just wasn't having it. Which is not unusal for him these days. Sleep is something I rarely come across and when I do I am more than happy! Anyhow, the first time I entered his room I inserted his paci (grrr) and walked out. Five minutes later I had to go in again. This time I turned on the light. If he doesn't quit crying within the first 10 mins he isn't going to. I just know how he is and I'd rather start over when I think he will actually sleep.

As I walked over to his crib I saw something horrible! His right ear was completely covered in blood. There was blood in his hair, across his face, on his jammies and blankets. My heart nearly stopped! The first thing I thought was that his ear was scratched but I could NOT see a scratch and with that much blood.. well.. that would have to be a big scratch! Then I grabbed him up and walked downstairs and hollered at Brandon. I told him we needed to go to the ER because Slade had blood all over him and that he could have ruptured his ear drum.

We drove over to Hazen (thank you for an ER nearby!) and waited for the Dr. to see him. Meanwhile Slade was a happy boy. Smiles and laughter all around. (Turkey!) The doc came in and peeked inside. There was a bit too much blood to see. They "cleaned" his ear as best they could in the patient room and peeked in again. His ear drums were fine! The build up and wax that he had before was gone (go me!) and the dr had a hard time seeing what the problem was. He checked everything else and his lungs were good, nose, eyes, ect. Lastly he looked in his ear one more time and he thinks he found a sore back in the ear canal.

All this. For a sore! This much blood? Jeesh. Thankful, yes. But a tiny little sore?!

He is on an antibiotic ear drops regimen and from there we are supposed to have him checked again in a few days.

I bathed him really good last night. (The ear bled again yesterday morning). I cannot see a sore. I know his little fingers didn't do it! I cut his nails Wednesday morning and if he does have a sharp nail he sure had to dig pretty far into his ear..considering I cannot visibly see the sore!

Anyway, our little guy goes to bed with socks on his hands now. He's not too happy about it but that's just tough. Until his ear is healed he will have to man-up and deal with it. :) He's tough. His name is Slade. He HAS to be tough! ;)

So that's how it ends. All is well with him but quite the scare he gave us! (For the record, Brandon even thought it was alot of blood and you all know how Brandon is about going to the Dr. He's not so much of a fan of it!)

A few more changes..

It seems as though the kids are always changing these days.

Slade started crawling forward. Just out of nowhere, like he knew how to do it already. That was on Sunday night.

He also got his second tooth yesterday. I can see his little tongue touching it and I can tell it is weird to him to feel another tooth!!

Kendlee had gymnastics pictures yesterday as well. She did pretty good but I could tell she wasn't all that into it.

Kendlee's current favorite movie is Monsters Inc. Such a change from the care bears. But trust me, shes not over care bears yet! Those silly bears go everywhere with her. They even get in time out. And Tenderheart needs a bath.. cause "he's crusty!" haha. She has renamed him "Crusty bear"!!!

Today Kendlee said "Mommy I got a little tooth!" And I peeked in her mouth (Which I've been doing alot lately..) and lo and behold she gotten one of her 2 year molars. Its just poking through. How funny. My friends and I have been talking about this alot lately.

This morning on the phone Kendlee told Papa she wanted to come to his house today. Papa said he would talk to Mamaw Cali to see what she thought. Ultimately they had decided that tomorrow would be better. I told Kendlee this (and she already had her stuff packed!) and she thought that was no good. She called papa and mamaw cali and told them that she wanted them to come get her today! So, they are coming to get her today! Lil stink! She sure has a way of getting what she wants! :)

Harley Tickets

Hello again!

Kendlee's gymnastics is selling Harley Raffle tickets again this year. One ticket costs $25 and the drawing is May 2nd 2010. As most of you know this is my area on the gymnastics board. I've been selling these tickets like crazy but I've come to a stand still and I have quite a few left in my books to sell.

Only 1000 tickets are sold. You can purchase more than one ticket. The winner will receive a Fat Boy Harley, picked out by me. This year the color is Black Ice Pearl.

The profits from this raffle will go towards maintenance of the gym, employee payroll, utilities, ect. Our gymnastics club is non profit, therefore our main source of income is fundraisers. Our student fees only cover so much of our payroll and nothing more. This is why we need to sell these tickets!!

If anyone is interested in buying a ticket please contact me! Thank you!!

Mr. Stand, Christmas Tree and Russel the dog.

Yesterday was pretty eventful in our house! Slade decided to pull himself up to his toy (Which he has been doing for a while) but this time he let go and just stood there! Then he reached for a book in his basket and toppled over. But it was a pretty big step in the world of Slader!
Kendlee, Brandon and I decorated the tree yesterday. Kendlee did the bottom half, as you can see. Its very full in a few places and I am keeping it that way! She also helped decorate the windows with window clings. I tried to upload the pictures but blogger is being goofy and uncooperative.
Lastly, we brought home a new dog! Meet Russel! We took him in because his owner wasn't caring for him. He is half boxer half bulldog. So I guess he is a Bulloxer. He is about 3 months we think. We aren't sure. So far he is pretty good. A little wild for our house but we can manage. He snores when he sleeps. Loudly!! He can almost compete with Brandon!
The snow has finally fallen on our house. It is wonderful to be in such a spacious house now that we can't really go outside. We can go outside, its just a bit too cold for Momma. Kendlee thinks that it looks like fun out there. We shall see!
