Thanksgiving and more.

Kendlee Bouncing around on her ball.

More apple butter in the works..

Slade pulls up on Kendlee's stool and tries to steal her stuff! Jerzie is getting a makeover.

Slader showing off his new bib!

Our Thanksgiving photo. This is the only time I could get the kids to hold still! They were ready for bed.

Thanksgiving was nice and quiet at our house. Quiet being only my 2 screaming children were the ones making noise. No extra family. Almost lonely but enjoyable at the same time. For supper we had steaks, green bean casserole, fruit salad and homemade pumpkin pie. Sure I missed having dinner with all of my family but having dinner with my small little family was just as wonderful.

Kendlee has been enjoying the nice November days. She puts on her coat, shoes, hat and mittens and ventures out into the backyard. She plays in her fort, on her bouncing ball, with the dogs... She just wants to be outside, even though its cold. She has even blown some bubbles and played in the sand. Soon we will have snow and she will get to build snowmen and throw snowballs at the dogs.

Slade is learning to pull up. He can get to his knees and then I help him to his feet. He can stand for long amounts of time, as long as one hand is on something. He still only has one tooth. Unfortunately right now he has a cold and the little dude is miserable. Though its always something with him. How can one little boy cry for so much of his little life?

Brandon had been busy hunting with Gary and Nathan. He did get a buck. Thankfully. It seems as though the deer are limited this year.

Jerzie can often be found curled up on our bed. She does play with the kids quite a bit and checks on them during naps. But in the colder months she really prefers to hibernate. I don't really blame her!

Jazzy is doing well! She spends most of the day begging for dog food, going in and out of the house to the back yard (ALOT!) or sleeping. She has really only left the main floor 4 times since we moved here. Its not that the stairs are too much for her, shes just lazy.

As for me, not much new on my end. Just the same old day in and day out. Teaching the kids, taking care of the house.. I am still coaching gymnastics once a week. I still have my MOPS group. But other than that, I'm just the same old Ashley that I've always been.

Christmas is coming upon us quickly. Brandon doesn't work this year. It has been too many years that he has had to work Christmas. Not sure I'll even know what to do with him around for a holiday! I have the majority of my shopping done. We will be putting up the tree and decorations this weekend and then I can wrap presents and take a little inventory. I'm almost positive that I'll have a Mr. Boy trying to eat the paper... that boy will eat ANYTHING!

Slader update

I took Slade to the clinic this week due to his crankiness and the constant crying. Clothed he is 17 lbs 13 oz and he is 26 3/4 inches long. I'm guessing he is at about 17 1/2 lbs naked. That would make him at the 11% for weight and 12% for height according to a percentile calculator i've found on the net.

Yet he looks and feels like a moose! But compare him to other boys and I guess he is pretty skinny, hehe. My skinny boy with HUGE feet!

Oh, and according to the Dr. his crying is unknown. He IS teething but he also had alot of wax/fluid build up in his ears. His throat is red too. So we just hang on for now and hopefully he improves.

Can you do me a favor?

If I could get everyone to print and color a picture of a carebear I'd love to put together a book for Kendlee's birthday. Pages can be printed from here:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GFRD_enUS232US233&q=care+bear+coloring+pages

If you need any reference for colors you can google Care Bears, or just ask us of course!

Also, please sign the picture from YOU to Kendlee and write HAPPY 3rd Birthday Kendlee on it as well.

She will LOVE all the pictures from her family and of her favorite friends!

thank you!!!

8 months and 34 months!

Slade is 18 lbs clothed. I'm guessing he is around 17.5 lbs naked. I have no idea on length. I'd like to measure him but its hard to keep him still for that long!!

Kendlee is 29 lbs fully clothed as well. I don't know how tall she is either but we do need to mark it on her chart pretty soon. :) We don't do that too often because its no fun when you measure her and she hasn't grown any taller! hehe!

Random things:

Kendlee is into puzzles. (Did I mention this already?) Puzzles in the morning, puzzles in the afternoon, puzzles at night. And she can put most of them together by herself!

Slade has developed a new and funny smile since he got his new tooth. He squints his eyes and makes the cheesiest grin ever! Must be a reaction to touching the tooth with his tongue!!

Slade has been doing SOME army-crawling forward. He still prefers to crawl backwards though. He has figured out that if he can get to the hardwood floor he can spin circles. It is also easier to army crawl forward on the hardwood. Time for baby gates!!

I'm sad. My digital card was in the computer for..jeesh, I don't even know how long. None of my pictures I've taken everyday saved to it! My camera only holds 3 pictures on its own hard drive. Therefore I lost ALOT of pictures. :(

I have a hilarious picture of Kendlee during activity today.. I was considering posting it on here but I think I may use it for Christmas cards instead! (I'll have a picture of Slade too of course!!) Who needs a formal card every year?! We've got plenty of time to do that in the future!

Firsts....

Slade got his first tooth yesterday! Big boy! He was about 2 months behind Kendlee in the teething department. Now he's chompin around like he is big stuff! :) It is just barely through the skin but that little tooth sure is sharp!!

Slade also can crawl backwards. He will turn his little butt whatever direction he needs to go and he goes in reverse! His transmission must be broken.. ;)

Hoping to get some pictures up soon. We shall see. The uploader thing has been spazzing out on me every time I try to upload.

Tonight we have gymnastics and Slade has to go with! Daddy is hunting. This should be interesting! Hopefully he behaves.

Trick or Treat!
