Silly girl. And look, she moves too quick for my super-fast camera!

Hello there! we've been busy!

We've been at the lake, at the farm. Here at home we've been busy with Tina's (halfday care), playing outside, housework. And everything in between!!

Slade has once again reached a major colicky time. I'm hoping that eventually he grows out of it. We have been taking him to a NEW chiropractor where they use applied kinesology. It is AMAZING!! The first visit showed 7 things out of order in his body!! The second visit only 2 things. I will continue to take him until he feels better. Poor little guy!!

Kendlee is enjoying summer. She cries big crocodile tears when we have to come inside. She is in MAJOR need of a playset outside but we just do not have the room! I can see many trips to the park in my near future.

3 month pictures continued..

I did take TONS of pictures, I promise! But this little guy is SO uncooperative! With Kendlee I could set her up and do whatever I wanted. She was so happy to have her picture taken. Out the camera would come and her face would light up with the biggest Kendlee-girl smile! Slade on the other hand... well.. he is impatient. He does NOT enjoy the fact that I am using my arms and hands for anything other than holding him! I've almost begin to wonder what we will do when he is in high-school. Certainly mommy cannot come with him! ;) He is THAT attached!

And of course I couldn't forget about my 29 month old! She is just as precious as ever! One of her "newest" things is to take pictures of Slade and I with a disposable camera. I will be keeping my eye open for a cheap digital camera for her. She is in LOVE with capturing time.. I don't blame her. She did afterall come from me! ;)

Happy 3 Months Slade!

3 months ago Mr. Slade entered this world at 2:42 am! Amazing. Truely amazing.

A sneak preview of our photo shoot today. He was NOT cooperative! When left flat on his tummy he kept rolling over. When on his back he was not happy! We will have to try again this afternoon for some better shots.

*The photos are unedited of course, please take into consideration that I'm lazy, haha!

Fun Things..

Nothing real exciting happening around here so I am just going to post some random fun things about Kendlee and Slade.

Kendlee:

Planets: Thinks that Uranus is HER-Ranus. LOL. She says "Myranus...and Neptune..." Daddy has repeatedly try to tell her that the name is actually uranus but she keeps thinking we are saying "your ranus". Teehee!

Sunscreen is now called SunScreem.

She can hit the golf ball about 6 feet!

She thinks it is hilarious that Jerzie will chase bubbles. "JERZIE CHASE THE BUBBLES!!!!" can often be heard from our backyard.

Flowers must be watered everytime we go outside. Even if we just watered them 15 mins before the current watering session. I wonder how long it will take for them to drown? Shes so helpful!

Her new favorite "On our Walk" flower is the Lilac. We must stop and pick a stem everytime we go for a walk.

Privacy is now called "Promise-bee". She cracks me up. "I need promise-bee please Mommy!" Ok honey!

This morning we had a Celebration. Thats right, hot chocolate with marshmallows (K calls them Mel Mesh), toaster strudel and an orange. Can you think of a better feast for a celebration? I didn't think so!

Slade:

Slade thinks it is funny when Kendlee runs around like a freakazoid. He sure gets to laughing and squealing when she is around.

Rolls over on occasion during tummy time. Only after drooling all over the play mat first!

Drools and chews on EVERYTHING. Who knew that I tasted so good? Good thing I wash my hands every 30 mins around here!

Don't change his diaper when he is laughing.. that IS a warning! ;) If you DO change his diaper.. wear a raincoat..

Bathtime is much more fun when Kendlee is with. And much warmer since there is someone else to pour water on his belly!

When placed in the basinett Slade will eventually turn a good 90 degrees by the time I wake up in the morning. It won't be long and he will need to be in his crib!

pictures!

I haven't had time to actually blog about anything so I'm going to leave a few pictures for you to enjoy. A few small highlights from the past week:

* Slade slept through the night. Almost 10 hours actually. I, however, kept waking up, sure that I would need to be warming up milk, but he kept on sleeping! Since then he is back to being up at LEAST half the night.. sometimes nearly all night. :(

* Kendlee's Mamaw Cali and Papa Wayne bought her a playhouse. The days that we actually did have sun, we got to play in it. Apparently, when you're naughty, thats where you go. Jerzie and I have both been sent to the playhouse because we were supposedly naughty. Haha. Wonder where she gets this stuff from?! ;)

* Slade is finally at a point where he doesn't scream during his baths. This is HUGE for us. He is nothing like our little waterbug Kendlee. At this age she was loving the bath and I have the videos and pictures to prove it. I do not have any videos of Slade in the bath. I'm usually giving him a quick dip, wash and dry. As soon as he really starts to enjoy it, I'll have video. Trust me. ;)

* Kendlee has this new fetish with CareBears. "Mamaw great Mamaw" gave her some of Luke's old carebears, Shelly got K some carebears, and she has some that we got her when she was a baby. She has taken to carrying these CareBears around the house. All.Day.Long. You can often find them in places that you would find a baby..like the baby swing! (See below). I just have to laugh. I LOVED CareBears when I was a tater-tot and I'm happy that she's enjoying something that I did.

* Lastly, it has rained so many days in a row, I've lost count. (Ok, not that long, you get the idea). Kendlee, Slade and I, have stayed in our jammies each day, as long as possible! It is nice to be able to relax a little, although we did have somewhere to go almost every day except one. I have been using the Wii Fit everyday and Kendlee is starting to do the yoga and toning exercises. Its super cute to see a 2 year old try to do the plank. Heck, shes better at it than I am! ;)

Here I sit..

Here I sit, holding my baby boy today, just staring at him. I'm amazed at what I've created. Amazed at how fast he has grown, how time has gone by so quickly. Slade is 2 1/2 months old. I feel like I just found out that I was pregnant.. and yet, here he is, a 12 lbs beautiful blue eyed baby boy.

I am "THAT MOM" that cries because my babies will never be babies again. If only they could stay tiny, for a while. Kendlee is nearly 2 1/2 years old. She is no longer a baby, she is a beautiful, smart little girl. Before I know it she will be a young woman. I look forward to the future, but also dwell on the past. I almost don't remember what it was like to hold her and play with her as a newborn. To hear her little giggle, squeaks, grunts.. her newborn cries. It all passed far too quickly for me. As young as I am, the mind forgets. Will I remember it all when I'm eighty? Will I be able to share stories with my great-grandkids of how my kids grew?

So here I sit. Rambling on about things that cannot be changed. Times I can never return to. Through teary eyes I only hope that I remember each day to enjoy what I have, now, while I can remember the sweet kisses, the smell of a fresh baby, those newborn cries. While I can still remember how a warm hug feels, and how it can soothe even the fussiest baby.. or child. There is no love, like a mother's love.

I love you my babies.. Kendlee and Slade. Without you I would be lost.
