Last night sometime after supper, I realized I hadn't seen our lil doggy Jazzy in a while. I looked all around the house, outside around the house, and she was nowhere to be found! Brandon and I immediately went out looking for her with flashlights. Brandon had to stay in the yard because Slade was inside the house. I went all the way down the road, around the block, behind our house. I went all over! I came home and Brandon went out searching in the pasture and all around the neighborhood as well. I took Slade to the neighbor's, where they watched him until we came home.
Brandon and I walked our neighborhood, drove our neighborhood and surrounding areas, several times! I know of places I had never been before on our own city block!!
Defeated, we came home. Empty handed. I picked up Slade and returned to our house. It was after 9 pm at this point. The wind was horrible, it was so dark. Our blind, old lil doggy was nowhere in sight.
Brandon called the cops when he got home. About 10 mins after I got home with Slade the cops called! They said they had three dogs at the pound and one fit our description. (Jazzy wasn't wearing her tags. They always wake up Slade so I had taken them off.) Brandon drove down and Jazzy was there!!! The cop said an older lady found Jazzy walking on the road. (I'm assuming it was our older neighborlady and it was our gravel road in front of our house). She had brought Jazzy in to the pound.
I am so thankful that Jazzy is okay! Thankful for people who do the right thing. What goes around comes around. I always find the owners of dogs that wander into our yard. I've even gone so far as to chain them up until the owners come looking for them. I always tell the owners I would be devastated had my dog been run over by a car or lost. And now I do know just how devastated I would really be.
So Jazzy is home. Immediately she ran in the house, to her dog bed, and started rolling on it. As if to say "ahhhh this is the life Mom!" Brandon said doggy jail would really be a sucky place to stay. 4 cement kennels with a tiny dog dish of water and food. No luxurious bed like Jazzy is used to. No kids to chase her around. She was truely happy to be home. And I was happy too. Very happy. Its times like these that you get the chance to really remember why you love them and just how much you love them. How much they have made an impact on your life. Even though letting them in and outside about 50 times a day is annoying, or the dog tags wake the kids. I am thankful for Jazzy. And I am thankful to again hear the sound of the tags on her collar tinkering through the house last night.

Mr Boy and Gas
Slade had his 6 month appointment in Bismarck yesterday. Hes still a lil peanut. :) Though he feels more like a MOOSE!
Weight: 16 lbs (21% on the growth chart)
Length: 26 inches (32%)
All is well as far as the checkup goes. He had a HUGE amount of shots. Poor lil guy. He was so mad.
Last night we paid for him getting the shots. He screamed all night long and had a horrible fever. He was sweaty and humid. Poor lil dude. Even with regular doses of Tylenol he just felt awful.
GAS:
The other day on the way home from Tina's Kendlee said to me, "Mommy. I'll buy gas cause we have to drive around for a lil bit." LOL. How considerate of her to offer to buy gas, I should have taken her up on it! ;) She has alot of money in her piggy banks. ;)
She just said to me "Mommy. Can I have some surprise?" Me- "No you cannot have candy." K- "No, I want some surprise." (surprise usually means candy in K's book.) Me- "What surprise?" K- "The one that I like.." And that was the end of that. She took a drink of her drink and walked away. Well actually, she jogged away and is now dancing in the living room. :) Cute.
I think shes dizzy lol. Shes falling all over the place.
Move date: Well as of right now our move in date is Oct 1st. We are so excited. Its a little bittersweet however. This is the house we brought our children home to from the hospital. These are their first rooms and we have alot of great memories here. That part will be sad. But we will make more memories in the new house. The BIGGER house. We need the extra room and I tell ya what, Brandon already has big plans for it. Haha. He wants a clothesline and a kennel in the backyard for the dogs and so much more. -Kendlee is already wondering how many steps we have in our new house. I'm thinking about the baby gates we will need to buy for our little busy boy.
I will enjoy being about a block away from a park and being a few blocks away from the schools. Also we will be closer to Tina's (and Amanda's!!!), which will be nice. It will cut our driving time in half, since we drive by this house every time we go to Tina's now. But we will be further from the gymnastics club.
All in all we will be very happy to be settled. We don't have enough furniture for this new place but thats fine. A little open-ness would be great for once. :)

Silly Naked boy..
Today Slade got all sticky because his popsicle (that was NOT opened, just for cold chewing pleasure) leaked all over him. I had to undress him. And like any Nordstrom child I know, he started squirming away when I tried to REdress him. (Its genetic, right?) So there he was, scooting around the living room. Naked. We have now renamed this day, September 16th, "rub your balls on the floor day." Please. Enjoy. He sure did! I kept trying to get him and he would just scoot farther away..with only a grin that a Nordstrom Boy could have.
And yes. I will be shampooing my carpets (he didnt pee thank goodness!) before we move. Lol. My kids are hilarious.
Even more fun went on tonight. Kendlee was playing with a balloon and it gave Slade the giggles! Everytime she threw it into the air he would start laughing. At one point he was laughing so hard you couldn't even hear him. It was too funny. So I video taped it. But for me to actually get the video on here? Well. You might as well keep dreaming because I'm lazy.
I've been packing. Lovely little lady thinks that it is cool to UNPACK what I've packed already. Thats LOADS of fun. (Insert sarcasm here..) More exercise for me I guess. Bending over, picking it up, putting it back in the box. Repeat. Should be on the back of a shampoo bottle.. lather. rinse. repeat. Really? Who ever repeats? Not me. I'm too lazy. Plus if I repeat then my shampoo only lasts half as long.
How did I get sidetracked?
The other day Brandon said to me, "Sometimes I think you have A.D.D." Me too. But then as I tried to think about it, maybe 10 times, over the course of 10 mins, but kept getting distracted.. I figured out that I probably don't have ADD. (lol. sure sounds like I do.) I am now calling my ADD, MOSC. Whats MOSC you ask? Mother of small children. Therefore I now have an attention span of a 2 1/2 year old. I have the patience of a 6 month old. And the memory of..well.. a 90 year old..... What was I talking about?
*giggle* K just came up to me and said "thats not how we spell Kendlee. L. E. E.... wait. don't spell it.. " so then I did get to help her spell it and then she says "But mamaw says thats not how we spell it.. its not this half. this big piece.." I think she has lost her mind too... silly. -- BTW we sing her name in the tune of Twinkle Twinkle.. "K E N D L E E, thats how we spell Kend lee." She is doing very well on learning to spell it.
Anyhow. Shes now playing Play-doh and Slade is in his bouncer just "chillin" so I suppose I better take this time to do something productive. Have a great night.

Kendlee...
She is amazing. Her carebears are currently using pop twist tops for hats and they are sitting in the pull off of a 12 pack for coke zero. It's their couch.
She has been testing me.. really pushing the limits. Asking far too many questions than I can handle. And when she hears the slightest irritation in my voice she says "Mommy, are you mad?" How can anyone be mad at that?! Of course I'm not mad! Not after you say something so innocent as that! Stinker. She probably does it on purpose.
She protested supper tonight. I know she likes it.. Chicken Tortilla Cheese Soup. She protested it anyway. Shes been assuring me that she "needs something" as in she needs a snack. She knows the rules, yet she tries to see if I have forgotten that she didn't eat her supper. My memory is actually intact today dear. Maybe tomorrow you'll get away with that trick.
Thanks to daddy, apparently the dog is in the way all the time. Poor Jazzy. Jazzy can be across the room, in a corner, under a chair, whatever. Kendlee kicks her (lightly but yet its a kick) and says "you're in my way!" LOL. Poor Jazzy. The dog can't even see! She can't even defend herself! Kendlee will literally walk all the way across the room to do this! Thanks Daddy. (Yes, Brandon does this too. He doesn't kick her hard either. Its more of a nudge really...)
Funny story... Kendlee must think my mom has Alzheimers disease. Everytime, no literally, EVERYTIME she sees my mom she points to Slade and says "This is my new baby brother, Slade! hes a boy!" Hehe. Its actually quite funny. My mom acts all surprised whenever Kendlee says it too. Even if it is at least once a week. *giggle*
The carebears are sick. Apparently they ate too much dirt. Why did they eat dirt? I'm not quite sure. I do know that I had to find a medicine dropper for them to take their medicine with. Poor things. Their mommy should teach them not to eat dirt. *snicker*
Have a great day!
