Busy days!

I know I know, I never got around to actually getting those photos up. Every time I tried the page would shut down and that was VERY annoying! Most of you saw the pictures anyway through email so I'm sure you all survived! ;)

Our latest happenings:

My mom and I took Kendlee to the fair on Friday the 24th. She LOVED it! She wanted to ride as many rides as possible! My little adventurer! she LOVED the big slide too! You know the one where you have to ride on a gunny sack? Yep, that one! She got a few great things, we got a few great things..and well.. we ate a few great things as well! (Lemonade! yum!) By the end of the day we were ALL pooped!
Slade stayed with Mamaw great Mamaw during our adventure to the fair. He LOVES her! I think she had a great time too! I'm sure many pictures were taken. :)

Saturday we went to the parade. (Again Slade went to mamaw great mamaw's house). Kendlee got WAY TOO MUCH candy! I mean WAY too much! Plus a bunch of waters, pops, icee pops, stickers, tattoos, pencils, balls, ect. You name it, she probably got it! She loved the combines with their big eyes and she loved the dancers and gymnasts. Poor little sweetie was running out of steam by the parade's end. Me too.

We then ventured up to my Dad and Cali's house. There we picked peas (which i forgot up there, grr) and played outside with Kendlee. She spent alot of time in her pool, the sandbox, on the 4 wheeler, and on the swingset.

By tuesday we were AGAIN at the fair with Cali, Julie, Elliott, Nicholas, Kendlee and myself. Slade visited mamaw great mamaw again. Kendlee rode more rides, got to see some awesome turtles and kangaroos, got a bunch of great free stuff in the co-op tent. She had a blast.

Wednesday Slade and I decided we better go home. Things to do ya know! Kendlee decided she was staying at the farm. It was mamaw Cali's birthday after all. I kissed my sweetie and said good bye. Not a tear came from her big hazel eyes. I on the other hand, had to hold them back.

Slade visited Mamaw Dell at work while I did some running around Minot, some shopping, ect. Then we were on our way home!

It sure is quiet here without Kendlee. But I am enjoying taking a few naps during the day with Slade. He has been soaking up all the Momma attention he can get though. :)

Pictures that I promised!

Argh. I've been trying to upload pictures for over 20 mins and it keeps giving me an error! I guess you all will have to wait to see my blue eyed cutie and my sassy little sweetheart!

Can't say I didn't try!

4 months..

Ladies and Gentlemen! Slade is 4 months and Kendlee is 2 1/2! I haven't had time to really do an update. I did take my pictures and all but these two have kept me busy!

Slade is 13 lbs 14 oz
24 1/2 inches

Yet another small baby in our house. I do enjoy it though, he is much easier to carry that way!

Brandon put a pair of shoes on Slade the other day and he is in size 3!! Kendlee wore size 3 at 12 months! Big boy feet!!!

We are currently trying to wean him off of his prevacid, though the last few days have been rough. He has been VERY fussy for a good chunk of the day. I do believe it is due to him getting shots on Friday. Hard to say really since it could be the shots, could be a tummy bug, or anything else! If it continues I'll be calling the chiropractor to get him in!

Kendlee has been enjoying time spent with friends and family. We set up her pool yesterday and she swam around like a fish, as usual. She is STILL afraid of the wind, rain, thunder.. ugh. I'm out of ideas. I really have tried every trick I know. Yet she continues to live in fear. :( She now sleeps with a radio on all night, very loudly. Poor thing.

The summer seems to be slipping through our fingers. With only a month and a half left of "decent" weather, fall is right around the corner.

August 9th is Slade's baptism. (YES, finally!) He will be studly in his suit! Noah and Trisha VanVoorhis have been chosen as the godparents. They will do a fantastic job!

August brings a busy month for us (as well as July has). We will be getting ready for gymnastics registration, among other things.

Take care. I do promise to upload some pictures of the kids very soon.

weather..

Obviously you can tell whats on my mind tonight. Weather. I am so sick of tornado warnings! I HATE tornadoes!

Brandon is at "guys weekend/staff meeting" whatever you want to call it. A nasty storm rolled through the area and now it is hitting us at home too. Crummy. I wish he was home with us.

My blogging will have to be cut short. My sweet baby girl is upset. She doesn't like heavy rain and thunder. I am going to go hold her in my arms.

Please storm, just pass quickly.

Thing..

I awoke in the darkness to the sound of my sweet boy fussing. So neatly placed beside him was his pacifier. I gently give it to him and he falls into a sweet, peaceful sleep. Returning to my warm bed, I think to myself how easy that was.

A few minutes later my sweet boy is fussing again. I dig around his bassinet for his pacifier. It is not on the left side, not on the right.. where could it be? Finally I find it in the depths of his ever-so-loved blankey. Popping it back in as quickly as possible to soothe him.

Then OUT OF NOWHERE I see it! THING pops RIGHT OUT of his blanket and STEALS the pacifier! Slade screams out in anger! "That is MY pacifier! I want it back!" I retrieve the pacifier from "Thing" and return it to its rightful owner. Once again, THING pops right back up out of the blanket and takes what does not belong to him! I pry the pacifier out of Thing's death grip and again return it to its rightful owner.

Before that sneaky Thing could snatch the pacifier again I tightly wrap Slade's blanket around him, in hopes of controlling the wild (and ever so daring, with Momma standing by) animal.

Crawling back in bed I let out a little chuckle. The poor boy. He was just trying to sleep and enjoy his beloved paci, but his hands kept stealing it out of his very own mouth. Hands that cannot be controlled at One in the morning.

Don't worry little buddy... Mommy is here to save you. Even if it does mean that I have to stay awake all night to protect you from "Thing". ;)

** I should hope that you all know what "THING" is! :)
