7 months Mr. Boy!

Slade is 7 months! Hes STILL not crawling and I don't understand why! He gets on his knees and rocks back and forth. But he's lazy. A lazy, momma's boy. Instead of crawling he just growls at Momma and makes Momma pick him up. Which of course, I do!

Still no teeth. Kendlee already had teeth by this age. And she was talking (imagine that!) Slade has said Mama but I don't hear it enough to count it as talking. Oh well. Sooner or later I'll be begging for the silent days. (These days are not entirely silent, as you all know!)

Kendlee was sick this weekend. Poor little thing! Fever of 102.4 on average. I'm hoping she continues to recover. Funny thing is, her body was sick but not her mouth! She just kept on talking, and talking, and talking.. even at 4 in the morning! Momma was begging for sleep. Kendlee kept right on talking.

We're still into carebears. Carebears go everywhere with us. In the car, to the dr's office, to bed.. they even sometimes eat with us. They occasionally still need to be lined up before bed, but I've gotten to the point where I'M tired of lining them up. So I tell Kendlee she can either do it herself or tough cookies. And really, all the carebears do NOT fit in bed with her. We had to move her desk out from under her bed and put it beside her bed so the carebears had a place to stay. *I wanna be a carebear...* can often be heard throughout our house.

My trip to Vegas was fun! I'm happy to be home though. 3 days in vegas is plenty for me. Mostly we walked around, ate food, and shopped of course. We saw a Circ-de-soleil show, while odd, was pretty amazing. Some of the things the people can do.. just inexplicable. Amazing to say the least actually.

And we are finally all settled in our house. A few minor things to put away but thats no biggie. Kendlee loves her new room. 3 sets of stairs down from our room! I do get tired of running up and down the stairs all day, all night, a billion times over and over. But I claim it as my exercise. Really, I start to lose count on how many sets of stairs I've done by 9 am. At night is the worst. The many needs of a 2 year old avoiding bedtime. Water, potty, carebears, new books, batteries for flashlights, fix the radio, fix the musicbox, fix the blankets, go potty, get new books, check on squeakers (which by the way is not Kendlees job at bedtime!) and the list goes on and on forever. *sigh* All in the name of exercise, right?

It seems as though fall (or winter rather) has "fallen" upon us. I used to love fall. The leaves changing colors and falling off the trees, the cool air (NOT COLD AIR!) The days getting shorter. Yet it seems as though this year the leaves fell all at once, still green, but frozen! It seems as though the days didnt just get shorter, they cut themselves in half. And the air is definately not considered "cool", I'm starting to wonder if the words "North Dakota" is actually foreign language for "North Pole". The cold, windy, darkness only reminds me that all too soon I will be gazing out my back door to 3 feet of cold, wet, blinding snow. Ick. And on these days, when it rains and is gloomy out, I can only dream of what once was a hot sunny day. Unfortunately we saw probably two weeks of such weather this year. What a crummy North Dakota-weather-year.
